Arsenal and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity would like to invite you to join us for this year’s ‘Be a Gunner. Be a Runner.’ charity fun run. We are asking all Gooners to dust off their running shoes and help Arsenal raise £500,000 for the children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Join us in running 10 laps around the outside of Emirates Stadium – a total of 6.4km – on Saturday 13th March. It promises to be a fantastic day for all our runners with plenty of other entertainment on the day and a children’s race for the under 14s. We are hoping some celebrities will join all the runners and Gunnersaurus is sure to make an appearance!
The registration fee for the event is £15, we then need you to raise a minimum of £100 for the Charity.
We are hoping there will be some ‘Top Gunners’ out there that raise over £500. Anyone that manages to achieve this will be given a place on our Top Gunner leader board and will be sent a certificate signed by an Arsenal player.
If you manage to raise £500 before the event, you will also be given a special running number so that everyone can see who the Top Gunners’ are on the day. Please note that you must e-mail us at arsenal@gosh.org when you have reached this target to be given ‘Top Gunner’ status.
Every adult entry includes free entry for a child aged under 14 into the kids’ race. Registrations for the children's race will be completed on race day and all children are welcome to take part.
Timings for the day are as follows:
10.00 - Registration opens for Children
10.45 - Children's Run starts
11.10 - Children's Run finishes
11.15 - Warm Up
11.30 - Run starts
12.30 - Run finishes
12.30-13.00 - Participants collect their goody bag and medal

Everyone that registers for ‘Be a Gunner. Be a Runner.’ will receive a limited edition t-shirt for the run and a fundraising and training pack that will tell you everything you need to know about the event and includes helpful fundraising tips to help you reach your fundraising target.
All monies raised from the event will go towards the Arsenal Lung Function Unit that is due to open in 2012. The unit will treat over 2000 patients every year that have trouble breathing or sleeping.
